In the Visual Editor, you can assign classes to elements to give them certain recorded attributes (dimension, typography, decorations). Much like the Macros in Excel. The same classes can be used for different elements.
The best use for classes is to save endlessly repeating the same settings. How so?
If you set a block just the way you need it and have another 3 to do the same way, you can do the following:
- Select the block as it is edited and go to the Style Manager.
- The top option there is Classes. Click the plus button and give it a name - like "articletype1", for instance.
- Now, when you add the other blocks, give them same class. They will take on the same settings and attributes as the first block.
*Note: If you give a block more than one class and they conflict, the last one added is implemented.
